ASMFC votes on Menhaden legislation

Tomorrow, the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) is voting on legislation to help to conserve forage fish such as menhaden, river herring, and American shad that are critical for birds and ocean wildlife. Over 128,000 public comments were received on menhaden, the most in the 70 year history of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.
